Taiwan. Weeks #11 and #12

Instead of a class we were supposed to have a ride in a cablecars (which I already had 3 weeks before) with visiting temple, trying tea and free lunch.
Everybody was supposed to meet at the station downstairs but it was written in my notebook that at the one upstairs. So I went there myself by gondola. I was the first passenger at 9 a.m., no one was around and cabine was with cristal floor

This time it wasn't raining so I have pics without drops on the glass

So I came and there is nobody (about 100 people supposed to be here), I thought "I'm only 5 mins late everybody can't leave". I walked around, there were almost no people (last time I was here there were many tourists). I called Polina, she said "We are in gondola, and you are sleping?" and I replied "No, I'm already on the top". And yes, all day I suspected we supposed to meet downstairs, but I decised not to risk. Bought a coffee in the empty convinient store, stood and waited. Also, some old couple started to chat with me. And then all these loads of people were coming and there was a long queue in the convinient store for that coffee. There I was glad I came earlier.

I can't say we learned a lot during that excursion, we all were walking, talking to each other, had a half of a cup of tea, then went to temple by gondola again

Here they showed us how to throw a thing which helps to make decisions.
But everybody was waiting only for lunch

Lunch wasn't good but it is free anyway

What I like here - so many options for studying. Don't want in my room - everything is disturbing. On the couch in corridory too - people come by. On the sofa in lobby to loud, in studying room they have uncomfortable chairs and in library as well. So what if I go to student lounge - couches are comfortable, light is good and not noisy this time. Lovely! Study what you want where you want. But the point is we don't have to study much.

Once a two week my room is cleaned. And every time on friday. And every time when I see a paper "Housekeeping tomorrow" on my door I shudder. Because friday is my first day off, I want to sleep. And here it is 10 a.m. and I hear this nice and smiling woman knocking at other room saying loudly "Hello! Housekeeping! Hello!", and then a sound of opening a door. And every time I think it's good it's not my room, I have more tme. Then I hear sound of walking and trolley thinking "I hope it's not to me". But there is a moment when knocking and "Hello! Housekeeping! Hello!" coming to my room. And I have to jump on, wrap in a blanket, look out and say "One minute!", dress and come out. Once I jumped not so fast and was caught sitting at bed, covering with a blanket.
Housekeeping is good, my sink is not so dirty after it and mirror is shining for new selfies, but once a two weeks break marvelous morning sleep is cruel.

Some magical way I managed to lose my wallet. I feel pitty for coins from Hong Kong and Macau, I wanted them to my collection :(

One of the happiest days in my life.
Definetely, everybody has to visit concert of his favourite band at least once a lifetime (I'm not jealous of Nirvana or Beatles fans)

Shortly saying, I am crazily, CRAZILY delighted! Here is a huge report following and if you don't like Franz Ferdinand then how it is even possible somebody can not like so awesome band whose every song is a masterpiece and every video you can watch endlessly? you can skip this part I won't know anyway.
Everywhere it was written club opens at 7, concert starts at 8. So I came at 5 to have not very bad place. I found myself in the end of 10 meters queue and was afraid I'll get a place worse than on the Killers concert

Had the last t-shirt like that. Now I have 2 "musical" t-shirts, collection. And poster also.

At 7 the queue behind me was so long that the end of it was somewhere beyond our Universe.

At 7.30 p.m. after 2,5 hours of me being outside and warming up with 2 t-shirts and fruit tea we were finally let inside. And here I found out I had awesome place, much closer than for the Killers!

We were warmed up by some Taiwanese band. I've never seen warm up before and those were not bad but 9 songs! I started to think that they have their own Franz Ferdinand in Taiwan.

Then many men came and moved, checked and adjusted something. So, the time of my wait became equal 4 hours.
And finally! They came!

I was afraid that alive they are not so awesome like in videos, for example, but no! They are gorgeous! Unbelievably amazing, charismatic, energetic, merry, the best band ever excisted, excist and will excist. My heart belongs to Franz Ferdinand forever and irrevocably.

I always thought that Alex is frontman but no, he and Nick fired up equally awesomely
In Russia Franz Ferdinand haven't been, as I know, since 2005, which means I'm first among my friends have seen them alive, which makes me very proud. I hope soon, they'll fix unfortunate omission (8 years is serious) and will come to Russia!

When I came out everything was hurting (I was standing for 5 hours), I couldn't stand on one foot but, damn, it worth it! I can't describe my emotions maybe this pic can show a little bit of my happiness and delight.

And in 10 years I will remember this night not because of hurting feet and other parts of my body.
But later I saw many pics of fans with Franzes and taking autographs because they are not idiots like me and waited for them near exit. I regret so much I wasn't there :(

Without any reason slept for 15 hours. Shocked.

December, 1
Woke up at 6 and went to amusement park in Taichung (3 hours from Taipei)

Started from merry-go-round

Amazing: you pay only 400 NTD for entrance (this is with discount if you wear >50% blue-colored clothes) and ride everything you want how many times you want for all day

Also, there were maaaaany machines with shooters, drums, basketball, aerohockey and different games and toys

Or that: you choose sugar with some flavour (apple, strawberry, classic, passion fruit)

and make cotton candy for yourself

I didn't really succeed

Then extreme attractions. Before I always was afraid of them, but this time was the first to ride everything and inspired others who didn't want.
For example, there was one when you're lifted to rollercoaster and you're hung at 90 degrees to land for some time, then go down with high speed and make a loop. Exciting, yes, but I thought it would be scarier.
Or for this you're twisted and shaked differently. It turned up to be not scary too, but I screamed because it was awesome.

Then I was at attraction where you sail and then you're dropped from mountain and become soaked. Others didn't go because of that, Taiwanese sat at last rows so I had to sit at first one alone. And I was happy. Then I was dryed in special body dryer but still was wet after that

They have some Popa family. In Russian Popa means butt. I told my friends that, now they all know one Russian word.

Nice restroom

With the best mirror in the world

So, we were coming back tired (I even slept in a bus in uncomfortable pose), but veeeery satisfied

There was a man sitting next to me in a bus who yawned and burped loudly. It's actually ok with these sounds here: I jump when people sneeze on streets and teachers burp in microphone.
